BULLSHEET MEDIA WATCH
Various newspaper articles have reported One Nation's use of ideas
from the movie version of Starship Troopers to promote its Young
Nation project. Poor old RAH's supposed fascist tendencies have been
dragged out again too.

AUSSIECON THREE
Quite a lot going on here. PR 3 is due any day now, along with the
Hugo nomination forms. Most departments are firming up nicely. The
Straczynski announcement has generated some interest, and minor
controversy in some corners. Membership rates go up as noted by Perry
Middlemiss "After some discussion it has been decided to hold the
current membership rates for Aussiecon Three at the current levels
until April 5th 1999. On April 6th (the Tuesday after Easter) the full
attending membership rates will increase as follows:
Australian	from $A225 to $A250
US from $US155 to $US170
UK from UKP100 to UKP110
These rates will hold until July 31st when Pre-Registration will
cease. After that date no new memberships will be accepted until the
opening of the convention. A rate for At-Con memberships, as well as
relevant Day memberships, will be posted at a later date."
