WORDS FROM THE KEEPER

So the Normonster wants war, does he? Well, I could say that the UNKNOWN
offers more than any other magazine in fandom. After all, how many other zines
give you a free monster with every ish?

If you flip to the last eight pages of the magazine you notice that A) the two
comic strips are gone and B) brother Bob Howard is back, greater than ever.
This is merely a supposition, but I would presume that Caitin is beginning to
home in on his enemies.

Edmond Romann' is also with us this issue. His tale tells of a celebration of
Man celebrating his own greatness. (Compare it to the Catin story, if you
will. Hmm. Is it completely unfounded?) The only trouble is: a few
uninvited guests show up to share in the festivities.

Naturally, after all the boasting that has been done, I should mention that the
Sneaker debuts in this issue, along with three guest stars. It's rather an
interesting story if your taste runs along these lines.

What to do with the rest of the space reserved for the editorial? Shall I
imitate the Normonster and be philosophical? I'm afraid philosophy is not my
line.

Perhaps I could mention that Timm Wall and Tim Morris have finally succeeded in
bringing out the second edition of Atlantis. They're calling it their first,
however. It's a full size zine with plenty for everyone.

I don't have Tim's address, but 20 cents to the other half of their team should
get you the first edition of their second Atlantis:

                                   Timm Wall
                                4555 Major Drive
                             Clarkston, Mich. 48016

This issue of Atlantis contains a little gem by yours truly, one by Bob Howard
(and it's not a Catin story), and a huge glob of stuff by the monster on the
back of

                                                      The Keeper of the Unknown

                                                               John Henry Merkel
