Kris Lundi (later to be Animal X) won an Honorable Mention for her beautiful Harpy costume. She created the wings on a wire frame that she covered with paper mache to make it solid and then glued hundreds of feathers over it which she spray painted to give them depth. She glued dozens of small feathers that she cut out of a sheet of copper to her lower legs and any remaining feathers to her thighs. She completed this wild look with a pair of black wigs and materials on her shoulders and a modest sash across her hips. She was actually going to wear the black wigs but we thought my red one would look better.Photo by David Dyer-Bennet
