"Dark Crystal" Carl Coling designed and made the costumes and impressive wall backdrop which served as a stage for hand & rod puppets manipulated by Joanne Dow, Carleena Marinez, Paula Green and Tanya Coates. Carl was one of the Gelfings and Andrea Fontaine was the other. They won the "Best Group of Show -- Recreation" for their tremendous efforts. |
For a website detailing the making of the costumes, props, and puppets and more about the presentation itself please see www.dark-crystal-tribute.com. Carl did this for the 30th anniversary of the release date of the film (December 17, 1982).
