Sandra Childress

LAconIV, the 64th World Science Fiction Convention, Space Port Lounge & Underbelly Bar - design and execute space decorations for public area connecting the Arena and the Exhibition Hall, managed with Programming the use of a performance stage.

Conzilla, the 59th Western Regional Science Fantasy Conference, Facilities Division – reviewed and selected appropriate location for event, recruited lower level management team for during event, will be in charge of event move-in.

ConDor XIII, Hotel Liaison - Negotiated new hotel contract for two years, aided in on-site logistics, resolved hotel issues, signed 2008 letter of intent.

Conjecture 4, substitute Chair - Took over half way through the year to lead the committee, came in under budget.

ConDor XII, Hotel Liaison - Negotiated new hotel contract, helped coordinate space usage, worked with members on issues with hotel.

Conjecture III, Masquerade Director – recruited costumers to participate in judged competition, selected judges and designed judging forms, maintained time schedule for event with little delay.

Noreascon Four, the 61st World Science Fiction Convention, Children’s Services Co-Manager – recruited ample volunteer staff to work during event with children ages 4 – 12, assisted in the decision process for hiring an outside childcare provider (KiddieCorp), managed shift schedules and breaks of all volunteers in department.

Gaylaxicon 2004, Excursions Director; Hospitality Suite, Second – planned and executed two off-site excursions (Legoland; Temecula Wine Tour), maintained hospitality suite during morning hours, assisted general committee as needed.

ConDor XI, Hotel Liaison – negotiated hotel contract, interfaced with

hotel and committee, resolved logistical issues

LosCon 30 – Hotel Liaison, Second – work with hotel for event load-in, handle member check-in issues with hotel, review daily BEO changes.

Conjecture II, Guest Liaison – coordinated dinners with the Guest of Honor, transportation from/to airport, designed hospitality basket

ConDor X, Convention Operations Department Head – coordinated staffing needs due to double booking with anniversary trip.

SMOF Diego, Hospitality Manager – planned and purchased food and beverage for 125 attendees, co-planned winery tour for 14, came in under budget.

Con Jose, the 60th World Science Fiction Convention, Con Suite Manager – planned and purchased food for 5000 attendees, recruited and scheduled staff for 97.5 out of 100 consecutive hours, designed décor to enhance and protect hotel, came in under budget.

Conagerie, the 55th Western Regional Science Fantasy Conference, Con Suite Staff.

Condor IX, Convention Operations Head – first time department for ConDor, worked with hotel and parties to maintain peace, served as Info Desk and Volunteers Manager as well.

LosCon 27, Con Suite Manager – first time as department head, planned and purchased for 1200 attendees (increased to 1400 before end of first day), coordinated staff and volunteers, designed décor to enhance and protect hotel space.

I-Con 16, Security staff – assisted with crowd control for autographs, personal escort for Michael O'Hare

Anime America, FLARE member – assisted with after hours convention operations desk, walked hotel towers for party control.

Phil and Ed's Excellent Convention, FLARE – assisted with crowd control, was dedicated security for Chris Achilleos.

BayCon ’94, FLARE member and Chairman’s Shadow – assisted with after hours convention operations desk, walked hotel towers for party control.

Silicon, FLARE member – assisted with after hours convention operations desk, walked hotel towers for party control.

Anime America, FLARE member – assisted with after hours convention operations desk, walked hotel towers for party control.
