Travelling Fête - The Fabulous Fifth Travelling Fête was held on the weekend of June 12-14, 1998! For those who missed out on all the fun, here are a few notes about the function.
The Fête's Guest of Honor was Ben Bova and it was held at the The Olde Naples Inn & Suites in Naples, Florida
In addition to the con suite discussion and the normal silliness and pool toys, Ben arranged for the attendees to get a tour of the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary on Saturday. This sanctuary is run by the Audobon Society and is interesting not only as a wild life refuge, but because its waste-water treatment is a "Living Machine" recycling system, the kind that could be used on Mars.
