CONJOSÉ, THE 60TH WORLD SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION

FOR RELEASE THURSDAY, APRIL 26, 2001,

CONJOSÉ ANNOUNCES MAILING LISTS

ConJosé, the 2002 World Science Fiction Convention, has implemented two mailing lists for the benefit of people wishing to keep up with the latest news about the convention or to discuss the convention and related subjects such as travel and tourism opportunities. The first list is an announcement list that will provide up to date information about the convention. The second list is a discussion list that will allow members and prospective members to discuss ConJosé amongst themselves. Both lists are open to all, regardless of whether you are a member of ConJosé or not.

To subscribe to the lists, please visit the ConJosé web site. The address of the subscription page is: http://www.conjose.org/Contact/maillists.html. Alternatively, if you are comfortable with mailing list software, you can subscribe directly by sending email to majordomo@conjose.org. The subscription commands, to be included in the body of the message, are:

subscribe conjose-announce
subscribe the-way

A confirmation request will be to you to ensure that you did intend to subscribe.
At present ConJosé anticipates making announcements once a month, and when major news items occur. As the time of the convention nears more frequent postings will be made. For more regular news of new developments you can check the "What's New" page of the ConJosé web site, which can be found at: http://www.conjose.org/Web/whatsnew.html.

The 2002 Worldcon, known as ConJosé, will take place at the McEnery Convention Center, San José, California from 29 August through 2 September 2002. More information about ConJosé, including current membership rates, is available from its web site (http://www.conjose.org/) or by writing to info@conjose.org.
