CONJOSÉ, THE 60TH WORLD SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION

FOR RELEASE TUESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2001,

CONJOSÉ ANNOUNCES HOTEL RATES

ConJosé has announced convention rates for several of its main hotels. Please note that it will not be possible to book hotel rooms until early 2002. However, we are aware that knowledge of hotel rates is an important factor is planning to attend a Worldcon. Besides, the rates are very good and we are proud of them.

The rates are as follows:

The Fairmont San José: Single/Double: $129, Triple/Quad: $149;
The Hilton San José& Towers: Single/Double: $129, Triple/Quad: $149;
The Crowne Plaza: Single/Double: $119, Triple/Quad: $139; and
The Hyatt Sainte Claire: Single/Double: $119, Triple: $134, Quad: $149.

These rates are exclusive of San José's 9.9% hotel tax.

Further details, including hotel locations, numbers of rooms and usage plans for the various locations can be found in our publication, ConJosé Offline #2, which is mailing to members this week, or on the ConJosé web site at http://www.conjose.org.

ConJosé staff will be present at The Millennium Philcon, the 2001 Worldcon, to be held in Philadelphia from 30 August to September 3, 2001. We look forward to meeting as many members and prospective members as possible (especially volunteers).

A representative of the San José Convention and Visitors' Bureau will be available at The Millennium Philcon to answer any questions about our site and hotels.


The 2002 Worldcon, known as ConJosé, will take place at the McEnery Convention Center, San José, California from 29 August through 2 September 2002.
