Fry's Electronics

|||
550 E. Brokaw Road - (408) 487-1000
Fry's Electronics was a Silicon Valley legend from the day it first opened in Sunnyvale in 1985. Today, Fry's Electronics has stores throughout the Bay Area and elsewgere. The original store has moved twice. However the Sunnyvale store is still the one to visit if you just want to see a Silicon Valley phenomenon. It is located now on the site of the defunct Link Systems which was the prime contractor for the space shuttle training simulator. As you walk through that store you are walking where the simulator was developed as the original Link building was retained. To get to the Sunnyvale store, take state 87 (Guadalupe Parkway) north to highway 101 and take that north. Get off at Lawrence Expressway and head south. Turn right at Arques which is only about a 0.5 mile distance. Before you get to Arques you will see a sign for Fry's Electronics on the right. Ignore the sign as it marks the previous location of Fry's. Fry's is at the corner of Arques and Santa Trinita. The place is hard to miss as there is a large sign on the right at the entrance to the parking lot. Danny Low
