  • The Peralta Adobe House was built in 1797 by some of the original founders of San José
  • CaptainThomas Fallon was the commander of the US forces that captured San José during the Mexican War in 1846
  • He later became Mayor of the city and his fine house dates from 1855
  • Both buildings are open to the public
