Restaurants - Cafes and Fast Food

This page contains photographs and brief reviews of San José restaurants by ConJosé staff. Click on any photo to see a larger version of the picture, contact details and reviews where available.

Suspiciously a large number of the fast food outlets in San José are very close the the university. Can't think why...

Rock 'n' TacosRock 'n' Tacos is a fashionable chain of burritto bars. The San José branch is close to San Pedro Square.

Tengu Sushi BarInside TenguFast food isn't just burgers and burrittos. Tengu does take-away sushi.

Ben and Jerry'sJust the thing for a hot summer day - Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

Victoria Taqueria Victoria Taqueria - small Mexican fast food outlet in a quaint Victorian building.

Pizza-a-GogoPizza-a-Gogo, because fast food means pizza too.

Jack-in-the-BoxYes, it is a burger bar, just like you-know-who. But Jack-in-the-Box has seriously good TV advertising.

Grande PizzeriaGrande Pizzeria - hey, perhaps that means really big pizzas!

McDonaldsAh, the good old golden arches. This is one place where you will know exactly what to expect.

TogosThere are two Togos sandwich bar outlets in San José. Much better for you than all those burgers and fries.

Double RainbowDouble Rainbow is one of the Bay Area's premier ice vendors. They do great smoothies too, and are conveniently located behind the Fairmont.

Gourmet ExpressChinese Gourmet Express - a Chinese fast food outlet located behind the Fairmont.

Rush CybercafeYou might think that a cybercafe is the last thing that San José needs, but not quite all of the locals have wearable PCs just yet. Besides, Rush understands cyberpunk. Look carefully, those are indeed racing motorbikes in the window.
