WHEN A MAN GROWS OLD
Sighted in Adelaide, Jean-Paul Breault-Day (once Paul Day,proprietor of The
Black Hole Book shop) admitted to avoiding science fiction. He is working on
a 60,000 entries dictionary of sexual terms in the English language and has
completed an annotated version of The Ballad of Eskimo Nell which he is
trying to sell to either Playboy or Penthouse. Adelaide seemed rather
quiet. I missed their Friday Night Mob , and the one Adelaide SF Bookshop,
Alexs, had a sterile Minotaur-like feel to it, without much stock.
ACRONYMPHOMANIACS UNITE
Don Ashby & Max Gibson have their first child, Patrick Peregrine Ellis Ashby
born 29/9/94 4pm. weighing in at 7lb 14oz, Patrick appeared, in Don's words,
like a cork from a champagne bottle. Meanwhile the rumoured fan pregnancies
are down to one.
THYLACON SIGHTING RUMOURED
Stephen Boucher reports that George R.R. Martin and Parris will travel to
Tasmania in order to confirm sightings of Thylacon.
