RECOMMENDED READING

Shannah Jay's ENVOY (Pan Books) is proof that at least one Australian can
write entertaining solid space sf. It's a piece about an all-powerful
Federation breaking up a war on a lost planet and reads like a cross
between James White, F.M. Busby and Marion Zimmer Bradley. Though a touch
slow to start it soon immerses one in the characters and even the Mills &
Boonish romance doesnt distract from what is basically a good read.

EIDOLON 15 features interesting pieces by Sean Williams and Trent
Jamieson, plus an interview with Greg Egan. (Eidolon P.O. Box 225 North
Perth 6006 $27.80/4)
