FANTHORPE VISIT
R. Lionel Fanthorpe will be visiting Australia in July of this year,
following an appearance at Westercon in Portland Oregon. Janice Murray has
promised a copy of his full itinerary.
OLD & MARRIED FANDOM CONTINUED
Congratulations to Mark "Rocky" Lawson and Jao Hee Lawson on the birth of
their daughter, Michelle Marie on February 22nd. Barb dela Hunty and Jeff
Jagoe have added a son, Flynn Huon to their family. One of Adelaide's
Karamazov Brothers has an appointment at the hitching rail in June. It
must be catching in Adelaide. ASFMA award-winner Adam Jenkins will marry
long-time sweetheart Ruth Purdey in early April. Perhaps to avoid all
this, Michelle Muijsert has returned to Auckland.
IN PRINT
Rosaleen Love is now a Woman of Wonder, having got into Pamela Sargeant's
US anthology. Lucy Sussex' review of My Mistress the Queen appeared in
the Age 4/3/95. Lucy Sussex has received a contract from Tor for If I Eat
Your Soul, a C19th ghost detective voodoo novel.
ON RADIO
Sean McMullen will be heard on 3CR's Writers at Work program March 23
10-11am. 855.
ON THE BOX
ABC's TVTV took a look at Dr Who on 7/3/95. It featured some footage
from Tri(c)on and some vox populi stuff that appeared to have been from
Melbourne. TVTV also looked at the filming of the new series of Ocean
Girl.
EREWAN REVISITED
The Erawan restaurant, was converted back to an eat-in restaurant at,
according to Alan Stewart, higher prices. The pre-Nova Mob dining group
will return there at 6pm first Wednesday of the month.
NATCONS FAIL TO BREAK RADIO SILENCE
Following a flurry of activity, Thylacon has resumed its low profile.
Remember to get your Ditmar Nomination forms in to Roy Ferguson
P.O. Box 12096 A'Beckett St Melbourne 3000. Any person active in
Australian Fandom may nominate. In the meantime, Condiment , the 1995
Media NatCon, has not been encountered. Does anyone have an address for
them? There are some New Zealand fans who would like to present a Media
NatCon bid, but they're not sure where to send it.

Damien Warman reports: "As far as Critical Mass goes, the year has been
very quiet, and I am hoping it will pick up. At this stage there is no
speaker slated until May, and even that is tentative. All I can say for
now is that we still meet at the SA Writers' Centre, second floor,
187 Rundle Street, Adelaide, at eight pm on the first Wednesday of
every month. Some folks meet for dinner around 6:30--7 at Five Spices,
a restaurant just below and to the west a touch."
And, from Sundance Bilson-Thompson:"AUSFA still lives, and we won't be
holding another Con for a while :-) ! AUSFA, c/- Clubs Association,
University of Adelaide, North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5001."
