PEOPLE

Lucy Sussex reports "Although She's Fantastical didn't win World
Fantasy, the winning anthology was The Penguin Book Of Modern Fantasy
By Women, which I happen to be in, with 'Kay & Phil'. " (See the full
list later in this issue) John Foyster was noted crossing Burke Road
Camberwell on Friday November 15. It was a good day for interstate
fans with ex-Adelaide currently Sydney fan Frank McEwen dropping in
to K&Ms.

BULLSHEET MEDIA WATCH

Linda Jaivin's Rock'N'Roll Babes from Outer Space was reviewed in
The Weekend Australian 9-10/11/96. In the Syte magazine that came
with that issue, an article on literary web sites mentions the Sara
Douglass and Perry Middlemiss sites. From the write-up on the latter,
we learn that Perry runs a software company in Melbourne and that he
"constructed his site 18 months ago out of frustration with the
enormous amount of science fiction on the Internet" Perry claims that
the quote is well out of context. Lucy Sussex' The Scarlet Rider was
reviewed in The Saturday Age 16/11/96, complete with photograph of
Lucy.

FAN FUNDS
Andy Hooper will be joining the 1997 DUFF race.
