SEASONED GREETINGS
Welcome to the final Bullsheet for 1996. I will be taking a summer
break. The Bullsheet will return in late January.
FAN MOVEMENTS
The Handfields sold their house at auction, but have not yet found
new accommodation. They hand over their old property in March
BULLSHEET MEDIA WATCH
Robert Whyte notes "I am the executive producer for a new show airing
on the Briz-31 community TV channel in Brisbane called The 5th
Dimension. It's a science fiction and fantasy review show covering
all aspects of SF&F including books, comics, magazines, TV shows,
movies, videos, computer games, role playing games, the internet and
fan activities. Basically, if you can think of it, we review it. We
will air every Monday at 9:00 pm (God and sponsors willing) until the
24th of February with a repeat the following Saturday at 7:30 pm. "
FICTION
Guy Dyson posted the following on the net. "Chickens On Springs is
proud to announce the release of: Kingdoms of Clouds, a new SF/F
novel, by Australian author G Christopher Dyson. Kingdoms of Clouds
is being published exclusively on the world wide web at the Chickens
On Springs website: http://www.iinet.net.au/~chickens/Springs.html"
DITMARS & ASFMAS
Nomination forms for the 1997 Australian Science Fiction Achievement
Awards (Ditmars) and the Australian Science Fiction Media Awards
(ASFMAs) will be published early in 1996. Included with this issue of
the Bullsheet will be a list of Australian Fiction published in 1996.
Another copy will go out with the nomination forms. Please send any
additions and or corrections to me by December 31st
AUSSIECON THREE
The Aussiecon Three Board has appointed Perry Middlemiss to the
position of Chairman. Outgoing Chairman Alan Stewart deserves a
chestful of plaudits for keeping the bid running in the face of local
apathy. I hope that Perry gets a little more support from local
fandom. Aussiecon Three will need it.
