OOPS!!!
In all the messing around trying to fit BS 151 in around assorted
school and home obligations, I forgot that I would be in Adelaide
at the time I set as the deadline for the next Bullsheet. Thus I'm
doing this small issue now, and I'm warning that the following
issue will be delayed. Sorry about that.
IN PRINT
Slow Glass Books Catalogue 140 lists the following Australian new
releases _Rhianna and the Wild Magic_ Dave Luckett, _The Meeting of
the Waters_ Caiseal Mor, _Valley of the Lost_ Emily Rodda and _The
Resurrectionists_ Kim Wilkins.
IN ELECTRONS
Damien Broderick writes "Blatant advert follows, be warned: I see
that Fictionwise.com, that noble purveyor of e-texts (especially
sf/fantasy) have now put up my bio, pic and link to
several-times-anthologised story `Schrdinger's Dog' at
http://www.fictionwise.com/servlet/mwserve?action=view&template=author.htm&authorid=25
You can download this marvel of extrapolation for a US buck and a
half. Even more fun is a much longer novella not yet mounted, `The
Game of Stars and Souls'. This is half the length of a novel:
WARNING *It IS half a novel (well, 2/3rds), being drawn from the
now-out-of-print Aphelion novel THE SEA'S FURTHEST END*. It should
be there soonish.
FAN FUNDS
Janice Gelb reports "There will be a party in Palo Alto at 8 p.m.
on Saturday, September 16, at the home of Donya White and Allen
Baum, party hosts extraordinaire, in honor of DUFF delegate Cathy
Cupitt. Dessert/munchies, soda, wine, and beer will be provided by
the hosts and DUFF. If you're interested in attending, please
write me at j_gelb@yahoo.com" Damn it. Of course I'm interested in
attending. I just can't get there!
2000 DITMARS
Okay, I know it's only been a week between Bullsheets, but there's
still no sign of nomination forms yet...
PERIPATETIC FANS
Sally Beasley reports "DUFF winner Cathy Cupitt got to present one
of the Hugos (as did Sue Mason) though I forget which one it was.
She was on a lot of programme items, both at Chicon and at
Bubonicon, which she and we attended the weekend preceding
Worldcon, but seemed to be enjoying herself nevertheless."
jan howard finder added "Dave Luckett came back with me for a few
days. I pack him off next Thursday for New York City. I've been
showing him the other side of NY, the green side. I even took
him to a cricket match. :-)"

don't detract too much from the quality of the collection, which
is a bargain for the $US5 donation to Interfilk. (I have no doubt
that Dave Luckett will have copies to flog off in the near
future.)

LETTERATURE
Edvardas Vaisvila, the assistant editor of the Lithuanian (Eastern
Europe) SF&F magazine Imperija notes "Besides short-stories and
science articles we also dedicate some space of the magazine for
the world SF and fantasy fandom. We are very interested in contacts
with Australian writers, artists and fans. We would really
appreciate any kind of help or information including a short
article about Australian sf fandom: fanclubs, members,
publishings, writers, artists, cons, etc. We would publish it in
our magazine as soon as we get it. redakcija@imperija.lt
