IN PRINT

Paul Kidd notes the following releases for 2000 which had, to
date, escaped my attention: A Whisper of Wings(Vision
Entertainment); Rats of Acomar (Vision Entertainment); Fangs of
K'aath (United Publications)

IN ELECTRONS

Ticonderoga On-line will be changing to a quarterly format. Over
the next three months, several major changes will take place to
the site. Writer Chris Lawson has agreed to contribute a regular
column, _Counter-intuitive_, highlighting interesting
developments in science. Fan and Playwright Grant Watson's
_Mutant Tube_ column will touch on just about everything and
anything. Reviewers Marianne de Courtenay and Jonathan Strahan
have agreed to contribute regular review columns. The first
instalment of each of these will be on-line by the end of
September.
Ticonderoga aims to publish 4 stories each quarter. Check the
site for guidelines.
The first full quarterly issue will go on-line in December.
Until then the site will remain in a fluid state of redesign.
Check the site weekly for updates. Russell B. Farr Editor,
Ticonderoga On-line http://www.sf.org.au/ticonderoga
AntipodeanSF 31 http://www.antisf.com feature the following
Australian stories "Situs Inversus" Brendan Carson, "Message
Received" Rob Bleckly, "Visitation" Edgar Crook and "Towards a
Fourth Millennium" Lincoln Donald.

BULLSHEET MEDIA WATCH

Jack Dann's Bad Medicine gets a mention in the October 2000
Locus. and in the August 2000 Netweek. Jack has also been
hitting an assortment of NetChat sites, but I tend to get this
info too late for plugging in the Bullsheet. The September
Australian Review of Books has a feature article on women's
science fiction by Margaret and Christine Wertheim. There's no
mention of Australian women writers though. Also featured are
two letters taking issue with Damien Broderick's article in the
August ARB. The Australian 15/9/2000 has an article on Star Wars
fandom by the aptly named Vanessa Walker. Fans who get a mention
are John & Fiona Gatt and Steve and Catherine Scholz. Isobelle
Carmody features in the Sunday Age's Influence column 1/10/2000.

O.S. INFORMATION

Nancy Tucker Shaw, widow of Bob Shaw and well-known fan in her
own right, died on September 17.

Geri Sullivan notes "Terry Hughes is joining Jeff and me as
guest co-editor on Science-Fiction Five-Yearly #11, which we'll
be publishing on schedule in November 2001. Lee Hoffman is in
charge of contacting Arthur C. Clarke. I'm hoping to get down to
Port Charlotte in the next 2-6 months for an in-person editorial
meeting with her. Well, actually to see her model trains and
such, but an editorial meeting sounds so purposeful."
