CONVENTION NEWS

Kathleen Ager reports "Alice and The Red Queen would rather not be
on their own for their Mad Tea Party at Swancon 26.
Although, there have been nibbles for the roles of White Knight,
Caterpillar, Queen and King of Hearts, Mad Hatter, and the
Cheshire Cat, none have been confirmed, and four months from the
con, we need to get a bit of affirmative action going.
Those who had tentatively put their names forward - or been
cajoled into doing so - probably need to consider whether they are
ready to make a firm commitment. Others may want to consider this
fun event.
Is there a character is the Alice books that fascinates you? That
you can identify with? Or that others identify you with? Would you
like to take on that persona for a couple of hours at Swancon 26?
You will not have to act out he character word for word, just
dress up like it, and take on its characteristics...
We are also recruiting a White Rabbit, a March Hare, a Red King, a
Mouse, a Dormouse and a White King and Queen, a Dodo, or for that
matter, anyone else you would like to be.

This Fanzine Supports The Minneapolis in '73 WorldCon Bid and the
Australia in 2009? WorldCon Bid

A brief compliments of the season to all of my regular readers. To
those of you who are irregular readers, I can only recommend that
you get more fibre in your diet. Try ordering a paper issue of the
Bullsheet and eating it.
The Bullsheet will return in the new year, once I've overcome my
End-of-Year Reporting Blues. You can't know the temptation that
there was to report on various fan goings on in the time honoured
teacherese e.g. Swancon 2000 have completed an enthusiastic year's
work, but must learn to get their assignments completed earlier in
order to get them checked before submitting a final copy. Their
2000 Ditmar Assignment was submitted too late for assessment.
To all those who are enjoying being part of the science fiction
community, keep it up. To those who don't enjoy being a part of it
all, get a life! (Reality is only for those who can't cope with
science fiction.)
Yes. I'm blathering. It's been a long year. I'd finally like to
thank all those lovely folks who keep feeding me news and I'd like
to thank Cath and the kids for putting up with my fortnightly
disappearances into the computer room. Oh yes, and thanks to the
bicycle for keeping me closer to fit this year, and for getting me
to and from my printing facilities.
See you in 2001. (I'll be the third ape from the monolith.)
