BY WAY OF REVIEW

SPACE MEDICINE ; University of Illinois Press, Urbana, Ill. $2.00 paperbound, $3.00 clothbound. This is a 81 page book edited by John P. Marbarger. It contains a forward by Andrew C. Ivy and the following chapters: Space Medicine in the United States Air Force by Major General Harry C. Armstrong USAF (MC), Multistage Rockets and Artificial Satellites by Wernher von Braun, Psychological Considerations on the Possibility of Life Under Extraterrestrial Conditions by Hubertus Strughold, Astronomy and Space Medicine by Heinz Haber, Orientation in Space by Paul A. Campbell, Bioclimatology of Manned Rocket Flight by Konrad Buettner. It's a very interesting book, and if you've got the cash to spare, you might enjoy it. If you're just a casual reader of science fiction or you aren't interested in the science of stf, don't bother. On the other hand, if you're an aspiring stf writer without too strong a scientific background this book would make a very handy addition to your library.
