I've never before seen such a deluge of Grade-A material like that which the postman's been tossing my way in the past few weeks. I intended to make this a 24-page issue, to compensate for the extra-size ones we've been having lately. It simply wasn't possible. I hope that by leaving out "Quien Sabe?" and making this spot instead of pp 2-3 do for "Timber!" I can keep things within 26 pages. But even thisaway, you should see some of the stuff I'm holding for coming issues. Presently, you will ... # This idea of making columnists of good writers is almost too successful; they all seem determined to be in every ish, and to have the longest piece in it, too. But as long as they can keep it up, so can I, and I don't hear you complaining that Warp is taking too long to read! # Incidentally, we've reached the halfway point of the alphabet in the subtitle-series for this department ... ahr
