w69m009.jpeg [9KB]: When Kathy Bushman saw the first Vampirella comic previewed at WesterCon in July 1969, she knew she had to do this costume for the upcoming WorldCon in St. Louis (Sept. '69). So she sewed it entirely by hand and included the wings that Vampirella had only in the 1st comic. She won an Honorable Mention for her efforts and a place as the very first Vampirella.
