Notes from FanHistoriCon VI by Laurie Mann
Joe Siclari created, nudged and administered the first-ever FanHistoriCon Fan Fund, which brought Rob Hansen across the pond to Boskone. Boskone contributed a plane ticket, and the fan fund paid for the rest.
About thirty people wandered in and out of the FanHistoriCon Suite during the weekend. Jerry Kaufman and Suzle Tompkins were Boskone's fan GoHs, and brought along the requisite amount of fannishness. Some program items, informal exhibit, and an IRC with the British convention Attitude happened. The Timebinders meeting included a discussion of the ongoing projects, and the proposal to run a FanHistoriCon at Bucconeer (1998 Worldcon). (I think the program items were videotaped, but I haven't seen them.)
