w86m015.jpeg [29KB]: Robby the Robot -- John Flynn made his spacesuit and Robby with the help of George Laurence and Ted Condon and Dorsey Flynn who was inside the Robby costume. John explains further, "George Laurence blew Robby's head one evening at the plastics firm he worked at...we had to do it several times to get the shape right. After he blew the head, I used a drill and jigsaw to cut it into its final shape. But without George there would have been no head. Ted Condon owned a body shop in Mt Airy. Ted taught me how to use fiberglass, which I used to shape Robby's body, and he taught me about paint, which covered Robby in color. I did all of the sanding, shaping, etc." Robby's lights were created by John Vengrouskie which he timed to flicker with the music. All of their efforts won them "Most Authentic".
