"The Female Warrior" This particular costume is a bit of a "convention legend" in that Diane Jordan is credited as the wearer but she wasn't. The legend or myth comes into play because no one knows who actually did wear it. This stunning ensemble was made by John Jordan for his wife, Diane to wear in the masquerade. However much she liked to model it at home, she balked at wearing in public. Luckily John knew of a stripper who was willing to wear it in the masquerade and wear it she did! She handled the cape and the graceful movements with aplomb and confidence and won John "Most Audacious" and a workmanship award for his fine leather craft skills. The show's MC, Marty Gear said, "the 'myth' is true. Diane wouldn't wear the outfit in public, and the exotic dancer (whose name I never had) who knew John stepped in and did." Diane is erroneously credited because her name remained on the entry form.
