Artist's War: L-R: Bob Eggleton, Michael Whelan, Naoyuki Kato. Each artist specialized in using different media so GoH Michael Whelan decided to buy paints that none of the artists had used before. Each artist started a painting and then passed it to another and then to the third artist. All the paintings were worked on by at least two of the artists. The paintings were then donated to the convention for auction to help offset expenses. One painting by Bob Eggleton and Naoyuki Kato sold at a record price for a Worldcon, over $20,000!
