ATTENDING MEMBERSHIP

An Attending Membership in ConJosé. A very small number of program items may have capacity restrictions or materials fees; these will be announced in advance. This membership includes all voting rights in the World Science Fiction Society. This means that you get the right to nominate for the 2002 and 2003 Hugo Awards, and to vote on the 2002 Hugo Awards. You also may attend and participate in the WSFS Business Meeting, which is held at a Worldcon and makes the rules for the Hugo Awards and the selection of future Worldcons. You also will be eligible to vote on the site of the 2005 Worldcon (subject to payment of an additional fee that makes you a supporting member of the 2005 Worldcon). You receive all generally distributed Worldcon publications, including progress reports and the Souvenir Book.

CHILDREN (3-12 years) and INFANTS (0-2 years)

These memberships include admission to ConJosé under the supervision of an adult, but do not include voting rights. Child care provisions are still under development, but all children in any convention-provided child care facility must be registered members of the convention. Children under 13 may have full Attending memberships (and thus have voting rights and publications) instead of Child or Infant memberships, but must still be supervised by an adult.

SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP

A Supporting Membership includes all of the rights and privileges of an attending membership except the right to attend ConJosé. You get the Hugo Award and Site Selection voting rights, and will receive all generally distributed publications. This membership allows you to support the Worldcon and participate in it without actually attending the convention. You can always upgrade your membership from Supporting to Attending by paying the difference between what you paid for your Supporting membership and the current cost of an Attending membership. If you voted in the 2002 Worldcon Site Selection election, you are automatically a Supporting member of ConJosé.

Separate admissions to the DealersRoom, Masquerade, etc. are not available. See our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for more information.
