Crowne Plaza282 Almaden Boulevard - (408) 9980-400 The Crowne Plaza is our closest hotel to the Civic Auditorium, where the Masquerade will be presented and the Hugo Awards presented. We will be using the Park Center Ballroom in the Crowne Plaza for programming. We have 150 rooms blocked at the Crowne Plaza. Rates are $119 per night single/double, $139 per night triple/quad. All rates listed are subject to the City of San José's Occupancy tax, currently at 10%. Please do not contact the hotel directly for reservations. Booking forms are in the mail and online booking is available here. Please note that, due to the current proximity in time to the convention, there may not be rooms available for the dates you choose. To find out which hotels have rooms for the dates you want, leave the date fields on the booking form blanks and click the Refine Hotel List button. Ignore any errors and select the hotel you are interested in. It will show you a calendar with dates color-coded to show which are available. For more details about the Crowne Plaza see their web page This page contains views of the Crowne Plaza taken by our staff. Click on any photo for a larger picture. This
side view shows the Hilton behind the Crowne Plaza. They really are
just across the street from each other. This is the lobby of the Crowne Plaza. Yes, that is an ATM in the left hand corner. Miro's Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar is the main catering facility in the Crowne Plaza. The hotel also has a pleasant outside dining area. Here's another view of the lobby. This is the check-in area. And if you happen to have eaten too much in one of San José's fine restaurants, the hotel has an exercise room.
