How do I request space for a fan table? - Details of how to book your space will appear here as soon as they are available. Fan table space is free.

I intend to sell merchandise at the convention, do I have to collect sales tax? - Yes, dealers and anyone else selling merchandise (but not club or convention memberships) must collect and pay California sales tax (currently 8.25%). If you do not already have a California seller's permit, you can get a Temporary Seller's Permit from the California State Board of Equalization. The permit is free and you can find an application form here.

What is subject to sales tax? - Nearly everything except memberships. Items such as promotional t-shirts, mugs, badges and so on are taxable.

I am an artist, do I need a tax permit to sell in the art show? - No, the art show will handle this for you.

I will need an electrical supply at my table, is this possible? - The exhibition hall has electrical outlets in the floor but we do not know as yet what the conditions will be for using it. You may have to pay extra to use the Convention Center's electricity supply.

What is access like to the dealers' room? - The Convention Center has a large loading bay that directly accesses the exhibition hall. Unless you are selling surplus Saturn Vs you should be able to get everything in.

Will I have to use union labor to unload my merchandise? - We are still negotiating on this one. We will let you know as soon as we have an answer.

What sort of hangings are you using in the art show? - We are still considering the options. As soon as we have a firm decision we will change this answer to let you know.
